Indian Knowledge system is founded on wellbeing of all. It based on a deep understanding of human being as well as underlying harmony in nature and the entire existence. Education is considered as a vital element in the development of a society, a system and a country. The new vision of Indian education system NEP2020 focus on multidisciplinary, liberal, equitable, flexible, innovative and multilingual education.
Sonitpur Polytechnic located at Thelamara, Dhekiajuli of Tezpur District, was established in the year 2017 affiliated by State Council of Technical Education, Assam and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The institute is situated in an echo-friendly environment about 22 Km away from Tezpur town and 1 Km from NH 15. Three programs namely Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering have been launching with intake capacity 60 in each. Since inception, the Institute is trying its best to render experiential and skill based learning with modern tools and technologies. A dedicated and qualified pool of teachers are being emphasized on conceptual understanding for development of skill and knowledge with ethics and human value. As a part of self-enrichment, they also engaged on lifelong learning processes. Our students have been given good practical exposure and field knowledge in harmony with nature.
